Intern – Generative AI Research Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conducts both primary and secondary research on advanced and emerging healthcare informatics technologies, emphasizing Generative AI and the latest Artificial General Intelligence innovations for applications in healthcare treatment, payment, and operations.

• Develops research papers, analytical reports, proposals, and educational resources.

• Keeps a thorough understanding of technology trends and possesses hands-on experience with relevant technologies.

• Creates generative AI models, architectures, databases, and systems aimed at enhancing healthcare solutions.

• The intern can choose their hours and the duration of the assignment, ranging from 20 to 40 hours per week, with a minimum commitment of one semester up to one year.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an advanced degree program in healthcare, technology, or a related discipline (e.g., Biomedical Informatics, Computer Science), with a preference for a PhD.

• Proven interest or experience in AI, healthcare technology, or informatics research.

• Solid foundational knowledge in the development of generative AI models, architectures, and vector databases.

• Practical experience with Machine Learning and Deep Learning models.

• Familiarity with LLM/RAG models and fine-tuning of LLMs is an advantage.

• Hands-on experience with cloud services (AWS/Azure), large datasets, and the construction of data pipelines for ML solutions.

• Experience with vector embeddings and databases is an added benefit.

• Capability to collaborate effectively and communicate clearly with cross-functional teams.
