Intern, Financial Risk Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Modeling of Probability of Default (PD), Loss Given Default (LGD) models, stress-testing, and market risk measurement models using MS Excel / R / Python.

• Conducting model validation.

• Creating credit scoring and rating models.

• Developing methodologies for quantitative financial risk measurement.

• Validating pricing methodologies for clients' financial instruments.

• Valuing complex financial instruments held by clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• A graduate or a final year student (capable of working full time) in Quantitative Finance, Data Science, Economic Cybernetics, Econometrics, or Mathematics.

• Familiarity with financial products and risk management techniques, including credit scoring and value at risk.

• Excellent analytical abilities and capability to structure issues effectively.

• Upper-Intermediate (B2) level English proficiency, with strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• High motivation, creativity, and a team-oriented mindset.

• Advanced data processing skills in MS Excel are essential.

• Programming abilities in SQL, R, or Python are advantageous.

• Experience in risk management or finance within banks, fintech, insurance firms, consulting, or software vendors focused on the financial industry will be a notable advantage.
