• Assist in the coordination of the AI Discovery Lab and Study Group.
• Keep an updated inventory of current and proposed AI initiatives across various teams.
• Monitor use cases, pilot programs, lessons learned, and outcomes from AI experiments within Oxfam and the broader NGO sector.
• Provide support for small pilots and proofs of concept under the guidance of the ADAPT team.
• Conduct research and experimentation with chatbots, generative AI tools, and AI-assisted workflows (such as research, communications, analysis, and internal processes).
• Assess and evaluate AI tools for their usefulness, associated risks, accessibility, and alignment with the organization's values.
• Investigate and highlight risks, limitations, and unintended consequences of AI tools.
• Assist in documenting responsible AI practices and internal guidelines.
• Aid in the design, coordination, or support of staff training on AI tools and their responsible usage (including sessions led by the ADAPT team or external partners).
• Create straightforward guidance materials, job aids, or FAQs to facilitate staff learning about AI tools.
• Offer light-touch support to staff experimenting with AI (such as office hours, documentation, and resource sharing).
• Currently enrolled undergraduate student pursuing a degree in computer science, information systems management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of work experience, education, and training.
• Proven interest in AI, emerging technologies, and their practical applications.
• Familiarity with generative AI tools (such as ChatGPT or similar), chatbots, or AI-assisted workflows.
• Strong attention to detail paired with excellent organizational skills.
• Capability to articulate technical or complex concepts in clear, comprehensible language.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while fostering collaboration across teams.
• Proficiency with the MS Office suite and Windows 11 OS.
• Practical experience with AI tools, chatbots, or automation workflows.
• Experience in coordinating projects, tracking initiatives, or maintaining documentation.
• Exposure to training, facilitation, or peer learning experiences (either formal or informal).
• Understanding of ethical, responsible, or inclusive technology practices.
• Experience working within a nonprofit, social impact, or mission-driven organization.
• Basic knowledge of data privacy, information security, or digital governance concepts.
