This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Utilize your expertise to design and manage data transformation pipelines.
• Oversee databases and cloud infrastructure.
• Ensure data is readily accessible and efficiently processed.
• Emphasize performance, scalability, and security within data systems.
• Work closely with the product team to document business requirements and convert them into clear, actionable technical specifications.
• Develop and maintain scalable ELT pipelines for reliable data ingestion, transformation, and delivery.
• Design, optimize, and manage data models in Snowflake to enhance performance, scalability, and clarity.
• Create and maintain Directed Acyclic Graphs (DAGs) to outline pipeline tasks, dependencies, and schedules for automated workflows.
• Partner with DevOps to set up and manage AWS infrastructure that supports data storage, pipelines, and transformations.
• Monitor pipelines to address failures and enhance stability and data quality.
• Document pipelines, DAGs, and models to facilitate onboarding and knowledge sharing.
• 3-5+ years of experience in a Data Engineer position.
• Proficient in Snowflake architecture, performance optimization, and data modeling.
• Skilled in dbt for modular data modeling, transformations, testing, and documentation.
• Experience in building scalable ELT pipelines on AWS.
• Strong understanding of data orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, or similar).
• Excellent SQL skills for data transformation and analysis.
• Innovative mindset with a capacity for implementing creative solutions to complex challenges.
• High attention to detail to ensure precision in data models, transformations, and pipelines.
• Strong communication abilities for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Adaptability and effective time management skills.
• Upper-Intermediate+ proficiency in English.
