Intermediate CMS Developer, WordPress, PHP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Create and sustain WordPress websites, landing pages, and internal platforms.

• Design and execute integrations with external APIs and internal services.

• Maintain and enhance current systems to ensure their stability, performance, and reliability.

• Assist in automating crucial internal business processes and workflows.

• Innovate new features for internal tools and aid in the redevelopment of core platforms.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to convert business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

• Engage in daily stand-up meetings to discuss progress, priorities, and any obstacles.

• Participate in planning, grooming, estimation, and design review sessions.

• Contribute to bug analysis and retrospectives to pinpoint improvements and lessons learned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of full-stack web development experience.

• Proficient in PHP (8.x) with a solid foundation in object-oriented programming.

• Capable of designing effective solutions for complex data processing tasks.

• Experienced in developing custom WordPress themes and plugins.

• Practical experience with WordPress Actions and Filters.

• Familiarity with REST APIs, including the WordPress REST API and third-party integrations.

• Knowledge of HTTP methods and secure service communication.

• Proficient in MySQL, including crafting custom queries and managing data within WordPress/custom tables.

• Understanding of table relationships and foundational data storage principles.

• Working knowledge of JavaScript (DOM manipulation, events, AJAX/Fetch requests).

• Strong skills in HTML, CSS, and SASS, with an understanding of semantic structure for SEO.

• Experience with Flexbox, CSS Grid, and responsive design practices.

• Awareness of web and WordPress security best practices.

• Proficient in Git for version control.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and switch tasks swiftly.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

• Intermediate+ proficiency in English.

• Desirable: Experience with Docker.

• Desirable: Familiarity with GCP services.
