Intermediate Backend Engineer, AI Governance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Implement well-defined backend features within the AI Governance product area, such as event normalization tools, enhancements to the storage layer, additions of API endpoints, export support, and registry integrations, ensuring timely delivery of production-ready work.

• Develop and sustain automated test coverage for your contributions using RSpec or similar tools to enhance reliability and facilitate safe, consistent releases.

• Expand your understanding of AI governance, agent-related product architecture, and integration strategies through hands-on delivery and collaboration, enabling you to contribute more effectively as the roadmap progresses.

• Collaborate closely with senior and staff engineers to provide solutions that are dependable, maintainable, and aligned with both product direction and release objectives.

• Coordinate asynchronously with cross-functional partners and nearby engineering teams focused on related governance and AI capabilities to ensure smooth collaboration and delivery across teams.

• Take responsibility for your assigned tasks and deliver with a high degree of follow-through in a fast-paced product environment, providing clear status updates and maintaining consistent execution.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven backend development experience in building and delivering production features.

• Expertise in Ruby on Rails and a strong foundation in PostgreSQL.

• Experience in creating and maintaining automated test coverage using RSpec or a comparable testing framework.

• Ability to communicate clearly in writing with team members in an asynchronous work environment.

• Demonstrated capacity to drive focused work to completion and follow through on commitments.

• Familiarity with, or exposure to, audit event systems, telemetry pipelines, or compliance-oriented tools.

• Experience in learning new technical areas and applying that knowledge to product development.

• Additional experience with GraphQL APIs, event-driven architecture patterns, Python, or data-centric databases like ClickHouse.
