Intermediate Backend Developer, C# – SQL Server

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Identify issues, analyze pertinent code, collaborate with business stakeholders, implement solutions, and autonomously deploy to production.

• Design and enhance backend business logic utilizing C# and .NET 4.8.

• Create, debug, and optimize intricate T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and database schemas within SQL Server.

• Develop and sustain APIs and backend service layers that support the frontend team and downstream services.

• Engage in sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, user-story collaboration, and technical planning meetings.

• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.

• Deploy features via the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring both quality and reliability.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on backend development experience at an intermediate level or a strong record of technical advancement.

• In-depth knowledge of C# and extensive familiarity with the .NET 4.8 framework.

• Advanced skills in relational databases with practical experience in writing and optimizing T-SQL queries.

• Experience with SQL Server; experience with Oracle is also valued and transferable.

• Proven experience in building and maintaining APIs and backend service layers within a production setting.

• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming principles, design patterns, and best practices for writing maintainable code.

• Capability to articulate technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively with Business Analysts.

• Demonstrated resourcefulness, initiative, independent root-cause analysis, and ownership of tickets.
