Interim Business Continuity Manager – Parental Leave Cover

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Further advance the Business Continuity Management (BCM) function from October 2026 to September 2027.

• Develop and enhance BCM documentation, guidelines, manuals, and processes.

• Formulate concepts and plans to improve and establish BCM.

• Organize information sessions and training for business units.

• Assist with Business Impact Analyses to pinpoint critical processes and maximum tolerable downtimes.

• Prepare business continuity, recovery, and restart plans in collaboration with business units, particularly in IT.

• Design BCM scenarios and integrate them into business continuity plans.

• Establish a crisis management team process and communication planning while serving as the ICT Communications Manager.

• Create a multi-year BCM testing plan and initiate and lead BCM tests.

• Optionally develop and later oversee the Internal Control System (IKS).

• Support process documentation and design.

• Identify key processes and associated risks, implementing risk-oriented controls.

• Develop and maintain the risk-control matrix.

• Conduct self-assessments and effectiveness reviews.

• Serve as the liaison to Internal Audit and annual financial statement auditors.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in BCM or in risk management and internal control systems (IKS).

• Preferably experience in the financial sector, a regulated technology environment, or in consulting.

• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements in the BCM field, such as MaRisk, DORA, and BSI 200-4.

• Hands-on approach with the capability to independently implement concepts, plans, and tasks from beginning to end.

• Readiness to engage with complex situations and long-term responsibilities.

• Enthusiasm and motivation to carry topics from inception through to implementation.

• Willingness to learn about new or changing regulatory requirements and pursue professional development.

• Business-fluent in both German and English.
