Intelligence Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Perform daily surveillance and OSINT investigations related to online threats, including impersonation, stalking, NCII/deepfake content, doxxing, and threat attribution.

• Spearhead the creation of risk assessments and classifications of threats.

• Synthesize extensive amounts of social media and open-source data into concise, actionable analyses.

• Create reports and briefings tailored to meet client specifications.

• Prioritize high-risk threats and facilitate communication with platform trust and safety representatives, legal teams, and law enforcement partners.

• Oversee reporting timelines across multiple concurrent accounts while managing time, scope, and quality effectively.

• Contribute to the advancement of Moonshot's investigative methodologies and tools.

• Establish intelligence requirements, conduct ongoing monitoring across client accounts, and execute targeted digital investigations into specific incidents.

• Offer expert advice to clients and provide actionable insights.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in conducting OSINT investigations or intelligence analysis within a government agency, fusion center, law enforcement organization, corporate or executive security role, GSOC, or similar intelligence setting.

• Proficient OSINT and social media investigative skills, capable of independently navigating large, complex datasets.

• Familiarity with the intelligence cycle, including requirement definition, collection planning, and analysis production.

• Sound judgment regarding threat credibility and an ability to assess risk based on intent and capability.

• Capacity to manage competing deadlines and changing priorities across multiple accounts without compromising quality.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capability to work through ambiguous or incomplete information.

• Excellent written communication skills with the ability to convert findings into clear, actionable outputs.

• Proven history of producing investigative or intelligence products for internal or client stakeholders.

• Comfort with regularly reviewing sensitive and potentially distressing content related to violence, abuse, or exploitation.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients.

• Independence in daily work activities.

• Willingness to occasionally be on call and work outside of regular hours for urgent client needs or special events.

• Must be eligible to work in Canada.

• Must successfully pass a standard background check and relevant security clearance processes as required by clients.

• Experience with AI tools for research or writing workflows, or a strong interest in acquiring such skills.
