Integration Analyst, P&C Insurance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Integration Analysis & Documentation: Aid in recording integration workflows, field mappings, payload structures, and error-handling requirements under the supervision of the Senior Analyst.

• Review API documentation, webhook configurations, and event-driven specifications to assist in integration design and provide client guidance.

• Contribute to the preparation of functional integration specifications, sequence diagrams, and technical documentation for engineering and implementation teams.

• Assist clients in comprehending API usage, authentication methods, rate limits, and best practices for integration.

• Utilize tools such as Postman and Swagger/OpenAPI to validate and monitor API behavior during integration testing.

• Data Migration Analysis & Documentation: Lead data discovery and profiling tasks—interpreting legacy data structures, identifying data quality issues, and documenting the scope and complexity of migrations.

• Create and maintain comprehensive data mapping documents that outline source-to-target field relationships, transformation rules, data type conversions, and the handling of null or invalid values.

• Convert mapping analyses into clear validation criteria and reconciliation checklists for use during mock conversions and UAT cycles.

• Execute test scripts and data reconciliation queries during mock conversion cycles, documenting outcomes and highlighting discrepancies for resolution.

• Assist with post-migration data audits by querying target datasets and verifying record counts, field accuracy, and transformation results against established expectations.

• Document migration cutover plans and collaborate with data engineering teams during execution phases.

• Requirements & Functional Analysis: Engage in requirements elicitation sessions with clients and internal stakeholders to gather integration and data migration needs.

• Aid in converting business requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.

• Conduct gap analysis between client requirements and platform capabilities, documenting results for Senior Analyst review.

• Maintain and refresh requirements documentation and change request logs throughout the project lifecycle.

• Project Support & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Senior Business Analyst/Integration Analyst, engineering, QA, and implementation teams to ensure documentation accuracy and project alignment.

• Assist QA teams by contributing to test case development and validating functional results against defined acceptance criteria.

• Support client training and onboarding activities related to integration and migration deliverables.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–8+ years of experience as a business analyst, data analyst, systems analyst, or implementation analyst within a SaaS or technology organization.

• Practical experience with P&C insurance systems, ideally in areas such as policy administration, claims, underwriting, or billing.

• Strong comprehension of SaaS architectures and cloud-based technologies.

• Extensive experience with API integrations (REST/JSON), webhooks, and event-driven systems.

• Proven expertise in data mapping, migration planning, ETL workflows, and cross-system reconciliation.

• Ability to read and utilize API documentation, Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI specifications, and logging/monitoring tools.

• Proficient in crafting clear functional specifications, user stories, sequence diagrams, and workflow documentation.

• Competent in SQL or basic data querying for validation and troubleshooting purposes.
