Integrated Absence Claims Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Engaging with claimants, employers, and a variety of medical professionals via phone and email to collect information related to Short Term Disability Claims, Family Medical Leaves, and applicable state benefits.

• Partnering with fellow case managers, nurse case managers, and consulting physicians to ensure prompt and suitable claim resolutions.

• Analyzing intricate medical records and effectively utilizing diverse tools and resources to determine appropriate approval durations and future action strategies.

• Performing precise financial calculations in accordance with company and state regulations.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.

• 1-2 years of experience in claims, leaves, or customer service roles.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

• Exceptional organizational skills with a capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Experience in handling disability and/or absence management claims.
