Claims Representative – Crop

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Conduct investigations, inspections, evaluations, and process payments for Federal Crop and Crop Hail Claims.

• Review the client's policy to assess coverage levels.

• Establish communication with the client within 24 hours to clarify claims procedures.

• Schedule inspection dates/times and assess the extent of the damage.

• Identify the cause of loss and evaluate damages incurred.

• Calculate the total damages and issue corresponding payments.

• Engage in communication and negotiations with individuals regarding the investigation and resolution of claims.

• Adjust all federal crop claims using the American Farm Bureau Insurance Services CAP estimating system.

⛳️ Requirements

• Generally requires 4+ years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education, and training.

• A valid driver's license is required for all positions.

• Federal Crop Certification for P2-P4 is necessary.

• Typically requires climbing and walking through fields in various weather conditions.

• Must be capable of lifting a minimum of 10 lbs.

• Travel with overnight or extended stays may be necessary as required.

• Candidates must reside in or near the following Illinois counties: Mercer, Henry, or Rock Island.
