Intake Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee the referral process for new patients and ensure timely initiation of care visits.

• Act as a communication bridge among specialty pharmacies, nursing staff, and patients.

• Utilize technology platforms to facilitate seamless coordination, prompt staffing, and effective care delivery.

• Engage in clear, courteous, and proactive communication with specialty pharmacies, nurses, and patients through email, phone calls, chat, and SMS.

• Handle incoming phone calls, emails, chat messages, and SMS, as well as initiate outbound communications.

• Collaborate across internal teams using shared queues and Slack to ensure completion of visit documentation and related tasks.

• Manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Build and sustain positive relationships with colleagues at specialty pharmacies.

• Complete pharmacy engagement tasks as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Previous experience in medical scheduling.

• Capability to operate multiple technology platforms concurrently.

• Proficient in managing inbound communications while supporting additional responsibilities.

• Typing speed of 60 words per minute with high accuracy.

• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Highly organized with outstanding time management abilities.

• Exceptional customer service skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the capacity to interpret and convey complex information clearly to all users.

• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

• Familiarity with medical terminology and policies; prior experience in the healthcare sector is strongly preferred.

• Experience in infusion therapy, healthcare intake, or specialty pharmacy is preferred.

• Previous experience in a startup environment is advantageous.
