This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Manage and resolve assigned claims inventory to decrease outstanding accounts receivable.
β’ Professionally communicate with patients and insurance providers regarding balances, benefits, claims, and payment-related inquiries.
β’ Collect, verify, and update information related to patient demographics, insurance details, referrals, authorizations, and eligibility.
β’ Use revenue cycle systems and payer portals to assess accounts, confirm coverage, and address claim issues.
β’ Clarify billing requirements, financial obligations, and payment options to both patients and payors.
β’ Collaborate with Claims and Collections teams to facilitate patient billing and payment processes.
β’ Address insurance processing errors, claim denials, and billing difficulties for hospital and physician billing accounts.
β’ Monitor, follow up on, and resolve insurance claims to ensure timely reimbursement and minimize accounts receivable.
β’ High School Diploma or GED is required.
β’ A minimum of 2 years of experience in payment posting within a healthcare billing environment.
β’ At least 2 years of experience in denials management.
β’ A minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing and insurance follow-up.
β’ Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payors is essential.
β’ Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service abilities are necessary.
β’ Candidates must possess legal authorization to work in the United States at the time of hire.
β’ The company will not provide employment visa sponsorship for this role.
β’ A pre-employment background check is a requirement for employment.
β’ Preferred qualifications include experience in Hospital Billing (HB) and Professional Billing (PB).
β’ Preferred: Proficiency with Epic, Health Quest, Experian, Waystar, and/or NextGen.
β’ Candidates residing in New York State are not eligible for consideration at this time.
