This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Conduct research on regulatory and legislative matters, perform both qualitative and quantitative competitive analyses, gather data, carry out analyses, and seek opportunities for process enhancements.

• Assist in the development and implementation of state product launches (including forms, rules, rates, and operations), which encompasses tasks such as research, competitive evaluation, drafting filing documents, utilizing SERFF, and participating in user acceptance testing.

• Contribute to business outcomes by monitoring and analyzing essential business metrics.

• Utilize data tools to generate reports and visualizations.

• Examine any known issues in rating or underwriting and aid in formulating solutions.

• Investigate insurance industry data through tools such as S&P.


⛳️ Requirements

• You have a solid understanding of personal auto insurance operations.

• You possess experience in employing quantitative methods to produce reliable business analyses.

• You are capable of retrieving and analyzing data to pinpoint trends, assess product performance in the market, and respond to ad hoc business inquiries.

• You can interpret competitor product offerings from regulatory filings, websites, and various sources, and research insurance laws and regulations.

• You are skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with database creation and manipulation tools (e.g., SQL) and business intelligence software.

• You have experience or familiarity with InsurQuote and/or Radar Base; proficiency in programming languages such as R or Python is an advantage.

• You are an effective communicator (both verbal and written), a collaborative team member who can work proficiently in a team setting and adapt to rapidly evolving business and technological requirements, even with frequently shifting priorities.

• You take pleasure in meeting set delivery timelines and managing the tasks necessary to achieve goals, handling multiple projects concurrently while demonstrating strong organizational skills to prioritize work effectively.

• You are capable of adhering to documentation standards and can showcase integrity while managing work demands successfully.

• A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Math, Insurance, or a related field is preferred; alternatively, four additional years of pertinent experience beyond the minimum requirements may be substituted for the degree.

• At least 2 years of work experience in analytics is required, with a strong preference for experience in personal lines insurance.
