This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Review and manage outstanding claims to guarantee prompt reimbursement
β’ Communicate with insurance companies, payers, and patients to address any discrepancies, denials, or underpayments
β’ Investigate claim denials, ascertain reasons for non-payment, and follow up with the payer to resolve and appeal when necessary
β’ Supervise billing operations, ensuring accurate and timely submission of claims to payers, and rectify any billing discrepancies
β’ Identify, investigate, and swiftly resolve claim rejections to ensure timely payment processing
β’ Provide assistance and respond to internal and external inquiries regarding billing concerns, claim statuses, and account discrepancies
β’ Manage follow-up on outstanding accounts receivable, ensuring prompt resolution of overdue claims and facilitating effective communication with payers
β’ Accurately post payments and adjustments to patient accounts and insurance claims
β’ Identify and address credit balances on accounts, ensuring they are managed promptly and in accordance with company policy
β’ Assist in identifying and implementing process enhancements to optimize the AR and billing functions
β’ Collaborate closely with other members of the RCM team to ensure timely and effective claim resolutions, share insights on payer issues, and improve overall processes
β’ High school diploma or equivalent
β’ At least 3 years of experience in accounts receivable, dental billing, or a related field is required
β’ Experience in a dental or healthcare setting, ideally within a Dental Service Organization (DSO) or similar multi-location environment
β’ Strong understanding of insurance billing, payment procedures, and AR processes
β’ Knowledge of payer guidelines and claims appeal processes
β’ Familiarity with dental practice management systems, such as Dentrix or similar PMS platforms
β’ Ability to navigate payer portals, insurance company websites, and databases
β’ Excellent communication and negotiation skills to resolve issues with insurance payers
β’ Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities
