This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Generate new business opportunities through following up on company leads, utilizing industry contacts, exploring tender sites, and maintaining market awareness.
• Engage with high-value customers by meeting them, understanding their operations, and suggesting solutions that safeguard personnel and essential equipment.
• Establish and nurture relationships with organizations reliant on precise measurement, monitoring, and control solutions.
• Take ownership of your territory by building connections with municipalities, industrial operators, and commercial clients while expanding both new and existing business.
• Manage and enhance current customer relationships, identifying opportunities to expand instrumentation solutions and services.
• Collaborate closely with inside sales and technical teams to provide accurate and timely quotes and technical solutions.
• Visit customer sites to assess operational needs and propose suitable instrumentation and measurement solutions.
• Assist with service initiatives including maintenance, calibration, and field servicing of instrumentation devices and systems.
• Represent our Instrumentation solutions to municipalities, utilities, industrial operators, and commercial clients.
• Maintain and oversee opportunities, account activity, and pipeline visibility using CRM tools.
• Keep track of industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to aid in territory growth and sales planning.
• Engage in product training, supplier updates, and certification opportunities.
• Represent K&D Pratt at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings.
• Advocate for safe work practices and exhibit safety leadership in all aspects of the role.
• A minimum of 2 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in instrumentation, electrical equipment, or related technical sales.
• Proven track record of developing new business while nurturing existing customer relationships.
• Practical technical experience in electrical, instrumentation, or industrial settings.
• Familiarity with water and wastewater systems, flow measurement, valves, gas detection, or process instrumentation is advantageous.
• Experience with calibration services, PLC systems, programming, or panel instrumentation is considered a plus.
• Strong relationship-building and consultative selling abilities, with the capacity to understand customer operations and recommend feasible solutions.
• Capability to manage a sales pipeline, prioritize opportunities, and accurately document activities within CRM systems.
• Comfortable working independently in a territory-based role while collaborating with inside sales and technical teams.
• Well-organized, adaptable, and detail-oriented in a dynamic territory sales environment.
• A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within your designated territory.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and French is an asset but not mandatory.
