This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Collaborate with district and school leaders to enhance literacy instruction through job-embedded coaching, professional development, and data-driven instructional support.
• Facilitate the effective execution of Amplify literacy programs by empowering educators, refining instructional methods, and fostering positive student results.
• Adapt coaching techniques to align with district priorities and dynamic implementation requirements.
• Offer guidance to school leadership aimed at improving learning outcomes and promoting equity for diverse student populations.
• Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive coaching and feedback to teachers and leaders.
• Lead Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) and consult during office hours.
• Assist with data analysis and instructional planning.
• Examine student work and formative assessment data.
• Develop model classrooms and showcase exemplary instructional practices.
• Actively seek and integrate feedback to continuously enhance coaching methodologies.
• Design or tailor professional development experiences.
• Conduct district-wide professional development sessions both virtually and in person.
• Contribute to larger Professional Development initiatives during district closures, breaks, or when Amplify remains operational.
• Deliver training sessions across the country as needed based on business requirements and during periods of school closure or if the contract ends prematurely.
• A strong passion for literacy and extensive knowledge of structured literacy.
• Proven experience in leading sustained coaching engagements and professional development for educators in grades K-5 or 6-8.
• A minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in ELA for grades K-5 or 6-8, demonstrating measurable results for students.
• Experience collaborating on projects with educational leaders and teachers.
• Proficient in data analysis and utilizing it to inform instructional practices.
• Capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting competing deadlines.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Skilled in using technology-based productivity tools, primarily Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Meet, etc.).
• Willingness to travel locally up to 4 days per week within the Grand Ledge Public Schools area.
• Authorized to work in the United States and a resident of the United States.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license.
• Must live within 30 miles of Grand Ledge Public Schools.
• Reliable home internet connection to support video conferencing on Google Meet and Zoom.
• A quiet, professional environment for delivering remote professional development.
• Background check required upon selection.
• Preferred: experience utilizing or supporting Amplify CKLA.
• Preferred: over 10 years of teaching and leadership experience in grades K-5 or 6-8.
• Preferred: capability to assist educators in a remote learning setting.
• Preferred: a master's degree in Education or a related field.
