This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Oversee designated channel and distributor accounts, acting as a responsive and dependable contact for everyday account requirements.
• Assist customers and partners with requests such as quotes, inquiries, expedited requests, order entry, and follow-up on the order lifecycle.
• Facilitate project registrations and quote extensions in collaboration with distributor partners, Regional Sales Directors, and internal teams.
• Maintain proactive communication during urgent, high-priority, or customer-impacting scenarios.
• Provide seamless assistance to Regional Sales Directors by managing account activities, following up on opportunities, positioning quotes, and supporting closures.
• Establish and enhance relationships with key decision-makers at distributor branches and partner organizations.
• Foster local engagement with distributor partners to promote growth within assigned territories.
• Keep track of pipeline activities and assist in advancing opportunities through the sales funnel.
• Relay customer activities, opportunity statuses, account developments, and partner requirements to management and field sales teams.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create and deliver effective customer solutions aligned with the channel strategy.
• Uphold a consistent, accurate, and responsive sales process that strengthens customer and partner relationships.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant experience will be accepted in place of a degree.
• Over 3 years of demonstrated business-to-business sales experience in distribution, manufacturing, or a related field; prior experience with low voltage wire & cable products is highly desirable.
• Experience in supporting or managing customer, distributor, channel, or partner accounts.
• Proven track record of maintaining and developing customer relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying information clearly and professionally to a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and organizational capabilities.
• Capacity to manage multiple priorities and operate efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Familiarity with CRM systems; experience with Salesforce is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Excel, Teams, and other related business applications.
• Ability to think critically, analyze issues, and utilize information to support decision-making and problem-solving.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to cultivate strong working relationships across departments.
• Willingness to adapt and embrace change, learn new processes, and support evolving business needs.
