Inside Claims Representative I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Conducts investigations and adjudicates claims within the assigned authority, ensuring adherence to relevant statutory laws.

• Confirms coverage, establishes and maintains reserves, collects recorded statements, and drafts as well as processes correspondence, reports, and records.

• Gathers additional information as necessary to ascertain liability.

• Maintains documentation of claim files and facilitates the claims processing in partnership with other departments.

• Assesses and negotiates claims, identifies subrogation opportunities, and takes appropriate action.

⛳️ Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED with two years of relevant claims handling or customer service experience, or equivalent educational experience is required.

• A Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree is preferred.

• Successful completion of Introduction to Insurance (INTRO) and Introduction to Claims (AIC 30) is preferred.

• Must obtain necessary licenses as mandated by state regulations within 45 days of employment for external applicants and within 90 days for internal applicants.
