Inpatient Production Auditor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct audits on inpatient cases to validate DRG assignments.

• Assess inpatient medical records to verify the accuracy of DRG assignments.

• Offer comprehensive rationale and supporting evidence for recommendations and findings.

• Leverage industry-standard references to back review findings, including the ICD-10 Official Guidelines for Coding and Reporting, AHIMA Standards of Ethical Coding, relevant AHIMA Practice Briefs on compliant querying, and AHA Coding Clinics.

• Analyze claim reimbursement potential based on coding assignments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Valid AHIMA credentials such as RHIA, RHIT, and/or CCS are mandatory.

• Recent graduates with credentials are encouraged to apply.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Familiarity with various EMR systems, including Epic, Cerner, and Meditech.

• Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Suite (experience with Microsoft Access is a bonus).

• Ability to organize workflow, prioritize tasks, and adhere to deadlines.

• Exceptional organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.

• Capacity to thrive in a flexible environment and adapt to shifting priorities.
