This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Efficiently and accurately code/abstract patient health documentation for Tenet facilities.
• Leverage coding skills to assess flagged cases in CARDS and RevInt for coding precision.
• Provide support in coding quality reviews/audits and conduct second-level reviews as necessary.
• Participate in Tenet coding education sessions and uphold coding credentials.
• Associate's degree or higher in a Health Information Management discipline.
• Completion of at least one AHIMA (American Health Information Management Association) certified program with the corresponding professional credential preferred (RHIA, RHIT, and/or CCS, etc.).
• 1-3 years of experience in inpatient coding.
• Proficient in MS Office suite with strong working knowledge.
• Solid technical background and experience with electronic medical records.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree or higher in a Health Information Management discipline.
• Preferred: Over 3 years of inpatient coding experience.
• Preferred: Experience coding within a large, complex health system.
• A pre-employment coding proficiency assessment will be conducted.
