
Inpatient Coding Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Coding Specialists contribute to the provision of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM coding.
• Serve a minimum of 1-4 specialties including UR, Podiatry, Plastics, Pediatrics, and more.
• Code for professional fee specialties and various facility types.
• Ensure adherence to AHIMA's Standards of Ethical Coding and the Company's Code of Ethics.
• Engage actively in training and educational opportunities provided by the Company.
• All coders MUST hold certification from either the AAPC (CPC or COC) or AHIMA (CCS or CCS-P).
• A minimum of 6 months of relevant on-the-job experience is required.
• Regular, predictable, and punctual attendance is essential.
• Must possess working knowledge and experience with systems such as EMR, Billing, etc.
• Must have access to a phone, a reliable internet connection, and up-to-date coding materials like CPT and ICD-10-CM coding references.
• Required to maintain an ongoing productivity level and accuracy rate of 95% or above.
• Must achieve a quality score of 95% or higher.
• Proficiency in Microsoft programs such as Excel and Outlook is necessary.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required for effective and professional interactions.
• Ability to coordinate, analyze, observe, make decisions, and meet deadlines is essential.
