This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ The Inpatient Auditor is tasked with conducting quality assurance evaluations on both internal and external inpatient coders.
β’ This role encompasses onboarding audits and training for newly recruited e4health inpatient coders.
β’ The position ensures that coders accurately extract data into client electronic medical record systems, adhering to Official ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS Guidelines, UHDDS guidelines, and CMS directives.
β’ The auditor also verifies Present on Admission (POA) indicators according to AHA POA guidelines and identifies any missing or inappropriate provider queries.
β’ The Inpatient Auditor is instrumental in reporting quality outcomes, tracking educational opportunities, addressing client needs, and providing educational support and training.
β’ Candidates must hold an approved AHIMA coding credential.
β’ A minimum of 5 years of coding experience is recommended; 3 years of inpatient coding in an acute care environment is required.
β’ A minimum of 3 years of experience in Trauma Level 1 and Academic Teaching facilities is advised.
β’ At least 2 years of auditing experience is preferred.
β’ Proficiency in ICD-10-PCS coding is essential.
