This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• The Epic Inpatient Application Analyst contributes to the mission of JMC by configuring and providing support for Inpatient ClinDoc applications within the Epic electronic health record (EHR) software.
• This role serves as a bridge between system end-users (customers), operational leaders, additional support resources, and vendors to design, develop, and enhance their assigned applications promptly and with high quality.
• The Epic Inpatient Application Analyst will deliver application support and optimization services.
• This position requires the ability to assess business issues, requirements, and workflows, applying their application knowledge to fulfill operational and organizational needs.
• Responsibilities during project implementation include collaborating with customers on the analysis, testing, documentation, and execution of medium to high complexity activities for assigned software.
• The candidate must have sufficient healthcare knowledge and systems expertise to implement medium to high complexity assigned applications with minimal supervision.
• The ideal team member should be self-motivated, possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, and thrive in collaborative environments.
• This role involves acting as the main support contact for end-users of the application.
• The analyst will identify issues within their application area, as well as those affecting other application teams, and work towards resolving them.
• Responsibilities include guiding workflow design, building and testing the system, and addressing other technical issues related to Epic software.
• The analyst will identify and implement requested changes to the system.
• Serving as a liaison between the workflow needs of end users and the Epic implementation team is crucial.
• The position entails maintaining regular communication with Epic representatives, including participation in weekly project team meetings.
• Collaboration with Epic representatives, the organization's business community, and end users is essential to ensure the system aligns with the organization's business needs concerning project deliverables and timelines.
• Developing an understanding of operational needs to guide the organization's workflows is achieved by attending site visits and other integrated sessions.
• Participation in training and assistance for end users is also part of the role.
• Troubleshooting problems and addressing questions is a key responsibility.
• The analyst will continuously review the status of projects and issues with leadership.
• Weekly communications with team members will be held to discuss the status of deliverables, shared issues, end-user concerns, budget, and upcoming milestones.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Informatics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Computer Systems, or equivalent experience in healthcare or IT-related fields.
• Epic Certification in the respective application is required upon hire or must be obtained within 9 months of employment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Registered Nurse or Allied Health Professional credentials are necessary.
• Previous analyst experience with inpatient clinical systems is required.
• Familiarity with inpatient clinical operations (e.g., order entry, clinical documentation, etc.) is essential.
• Previous experience with Clinical Documentation including Stork L&D, Secure Chat, and Rover is an advantage.
• Knowledge and experience in Inpatient/OB Nursing workflows are preferred.
• Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills are mandatory.
