This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the development and enhancement of DeVry University's innovation strategy.

• Recognize opportunities where innovation can improve competitive advantage as well as student and faculty experiences.

• Design and prototype innovative solutions utilizing emerging technologies and methodologies.

• Guide solution design from the initial idea through to execution.

• Keep abreast of technology, industry, and educational-methodology trends.

• Assess and recommend tools, platforms, and practices that foster innovation in higher education.

• Collaborate with academic, IT, and administrative teams on innovation projects.

• Conduct innovation workshops and brainstorming sessions.

• Supervise prototypes and proof-of-concept initiatives.

• Utilize agile methodologies to iterate and refine concepts based on feedback and metrics.

• Foster a culture of innovation and ongoing improvement.

• Convey the value of initiatives to stakeholders and garner support.

• Oversee multiple innovation projects ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.

• Create project plans that encompass timelines, resources, and risks.

• Mentor junior team members and other departments in innovative thinking and practices.

• Set metrics and report on the progress and impact of innovation to senior leadership.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Over 10 years of experience in IT.

• 5–7 years of experience in innovation, product development, or a similar role.

• Demonstrated success in delivering innovation projects.

• Experience in a leadership or architect capacity.

• Strong knowledge of emerging technologies such as AI, IoT, and blockchain, along with their business applications.

• Expertise in innovation frameworks and methodologies, including design thinking, lean startup, or agile.

• Familiarity with the Salesforce ecosystem, comprising Salesforce CRM, AppExchange, and Salesforce cloud solutions.

• Understanding of challenges and opportunities in higher education.

• Capability to translate business objectives into innovative solutions.

• Strong analytical abilities to assess the potential impact of ideas and technologies.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.

• Proven leadership, change-management, mentoring, and innovation-culture-building skills.

• Preferred: Master's degree or additional certifications in innovation, design thinking, or technology management.

• Preferred: Certifications in innovation management, project management such as PMP, or related fields.

• Preferred: Experience with digital transformation efforts or within a similar industry sector.

• Preferred: Background in higher education.

• Preferred: Knowledge of data-driven decision-making and performance measurement tools.
