Infrastructure – Systems Operations Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Arab Emirates (UAE).

📋 Description

• Manage and oversee our Linux, AWS, and blockchain-node infrastructure on a daily basis.

• Take charge of routine administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting for services and networking.

• Contribute to our infrastructure-as-code initiatives using Terraform, increasing your ownership over time.

• Provide support for blockchain node operations within our ecosystem.

• Automate repetitive tasks and diagnostics through scripting.

• Assist in maintaining the security, patching, and smooth operation of our systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in Linux administration: fluency in CLI, systemd, package management, log analysis, and troubleshooting services and networking.

• Experience in shell scripting (Bash) for automation and diagnostics purposes.

• Familiarity with essential AWS services: EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, CloudWatch, and load balancers (ELB/ALB).

• Working knowledge of Terraform: you have created and applied configurations and understand the state and plan/apply processes.

• Understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, SSH, firewalls, and security groups.

• Proficient with Git: comfortable with daily branch/commit/PR workflows.

• Strong credentials and access management practices: proper SSH key handling, least-privilege IAM implementation, safeguarding secrets outside of code and repositories, and ensuring systems are kept patched.
