This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Offer early-stage customer and opportunity engagement support to define requirements, influence solution development, and enhance win probability.
• Assess emerging technologies in power distribution, battery systems, HVAC, and liquid cooling, ensuring adherence to industry standards (ASHRAE, ANSI/EIA, etc.).
• Collaborate to create manufacturable, scalable power and cooling solutions for both new and existing data center clients.
• Work in conjunction with product and hardware teams to synchronize infrastructure capabilities with changing compute and storage demands.
• Analyze thermal and electrical performance data to enhance energy efficiency and the reliability of systems.
• Partner with various teams to design custom IT racks that incorporate integrated liquid cooling systems (direct-to-chip, rear-door heat exchangers, or immersion), including sensors, flow meters, and leak detection systems within rack designs.
• Assist in the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of deployed systems.
• Create and maintain documentation for infrastructure standards, best practices, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, system administrators, cloud architects, and security teams, to ensure system compatibility and performance.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Thermal Engineering is required; equivalent work experience may also be considered.
• Over 8 years of experience in data center infrastructure engineering, focusing on IT, power, and/or cooling system technologies.
• Strong comprehension of electrical distribution systems (UPS, PDUs, switchgear, busway) and mechanical systems (CDUs, Fluid Networks, CRAC/CRAH, chillers, cooling towers).
• Experience with liquid cooling technologies (direct-to-chip, immersion).
• Understanding of sustainability practices and energy efficiency metrics (PUE, WUE).
• Familiarity with containerization technologies.
• Knowledge of data center energy efficiency and sustainability practices.
• Acquainted with industry standards such as ASHRAE, IEEE, and Uptime Institute Tier classifications.
