Infrastructure Software Engineer – Release Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Assist in the transition of current products to an advanced updater platform that utilizes the latest updater technologies and tools, ensuring a seamless shift from legacy systems.

• Promote the use of efficient, scalable, and maintainable update and installation processes to enhance release reliability and operational effectiveness.

• Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to facilitate the construction, packaging, and launch of new applications.

• Offer insights on release readiness and best practices, while helping to resolve issues related to builds and deployments.

• Ensure that releases adhere to defined quality, reliability, and customer experience benchmarks.

• Facilitate smooth transitions from development to customer availability, contributing to expedited time to market and enhanced product delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical discipline involving programming.

• 5+ years of professional experience in software development.

• Demonstrated ability to design and manage large, multi-threaded, geographically distributed backend systems.

• Skilled in programming and debugging across various languages including Python, Go, C/C++, or Java.

• Strong understanding of operating system internals, filesystems, databases, networks, and compilers.

• Proven experience in defining and delivering well-scoped milestones/projects.

• Capable of independently identifying suitable solutions for unclear, open-ended challenges.
