This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.

• Oversee the maintenance and scaling of Kubernetes (EKS) clusters, handling workloads, deployments, and monitoring at a production scale.

• Manage and enhance our cloud environments on AWS (and some GCP), optimizing for reliability, cost-effectiveness, and speed.

• Take ownership of our CI/CD systems, utilizing GitHub Actions on our self-hosted AWS runners for improvements.

• Define and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Terragrunt.

• Enhance observability through Datadog, enabling teams to gain insights into their systems in production.

• Collaborate with Product Engineers to deploy and monitor services in a production environment.

• Foster FinOps practices, including vendor management, cost allocation, and establishing financial feedback loops.

• Contribute to the development of internal tools, automation, and reporting platforms that enhance the developer experience.

• Extensive hands-on experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform roles within a SaaS or high-traffic product environment.

• Proficient in Kubernetes, with the ability to spin up and manage clusters rather than just utilizing them.

• Demonstrated expertise in AWS and/or GCP.

• Skilled in Terraform/Terragrunt, Linux, and Python scripting.

• Solid understanding of CI/CD design patterns.

• Experience with Datadog or similar observability tools.

• Ability to work independently in ambiguous situations.

• A pragmatic approach, prioritizing scalable and maintainable solutions over theoretical ideals.
