This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia.
• Design and implement functional networks, primarily on AWS and occasionally in remote physical data centers utilizing LAN, WAN, VPN, and firewall technologies.
• Monitor the performance and integrity of networks.
• Deploy and maintain Kubernetes (K8s) services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in both cloud and local infrastructure using a service desk system.
• Write infrastructure as code — our team utilizes Terraform in combination with Terragrunt.
• Automate tasks and evaluate their effectiveness.
• Develop, implement, and test security protocols (such as access authentication/authorization and disaster recovery plans).
• Set up monitoring systems (VictoriaMetrics, ELK).
• Communicate with internal users and Customer Service as necessary.
• Compile and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
• Propose enhancements to network performance, capacity, and scalability.
• Over 3 years of experience in network administration and architecture in geographically distributed environments.
• At least 1 year of experience in cloud networking (preferably AWS) with medium-sized networks; experience with Terraform is advantageous.
• Knowledge of dynamic routing protocols (e.g., BGP) and access control models.
• Proficient in Linux administration and command-line tools.
• Practical experience in network security and hardening measures.
• Familiarity with diagnostic and monitoring tools (e.g., Wireshark, Zabbix, DynaTrace).
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes, including the deployment, management, and troubleshooting of containerized applications.
• Hands-on experience with GitLab and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Service Desk systems (e.g., Jira Service Desk, ZenDesk).
• Working knowledge of DNS, certificates, domain management, and CDNs (e.g., Cloudflare).
• Proficiency in spoken English at a B2 level (Upper-Intermediate) or higher.
• Experience with network equipment (e.g., Cisco, Checkpoint, Fortinet) and knowledge of network operating systems (JUNOS, Cisco IOS).
• Basic scripting abilities (e.g., Bash, Python, Perl).
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, BSD Specialist) and a degree in Computer Science or a related field.
