Infrastructure and Database Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and sustain scalable, resilient, and secure infrastructure solutions.

• Manage and enhance Linux production environments through tuning, hardening, and troubleshooting.

• Create scripts and automation tools for provisioning, deployment, and operational tasks.

• Assist in database maintenance, performance optimization, and high availability, especially focusing on NoSQL.

• Engage in comprehensive infrastructure projects — from architectural design to execution.

• Work alongside development, data, and product teams to establish technical solutions.

• Contribute to observability practices including monitoring, logging, and metrics, while fostering continuous improvement.

• Document procedures, runbooks, and architectures to enhance the team's technical knowledge repository.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in administering Linux environments (Ubuntu, Red Hat, CentOS, or similar).

• Demonstrated experience in infrastructure projects (on-premises, cloud, or hybrid).

• Strong programming capabilities, preferably in Python (Go, Bash, or other languages will also be considered).

• Familiarity with process automation and Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools).

• In-depth knowledge of databases, with practical experience in NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, ScyllaDB, DynamoDB, or similar).

• Understanding of version control (Git) and CI/CD methodologies.

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to resolve complex issues.

• Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with multidisciplinary teams.

• Intermediate English proficiency for reading technical documentation.

• **Desired:**

• Experience with containers and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Familiarity with cloud service providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

• Knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) for hybrid applications.

• Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, or similar).

• Previous experience in high-scale, high-availability environments or SRE roles.
