Information System Security Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Perform evaluations of potential threats and vulnerabilities.

• Identify discrepancies from acceptable configurations or enterprise/local policies.

• Evaluate risk levels and formulate or suggest suitable mitigation strategies for both operational and non-operational scenarios.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field is mandatory.

• If the applicant's degree is not in the relevant field, an additional 4 years of related experience is necessary.

• Over 8 years of experience in cyber security is required.

• Capability to oversee security assessments for a range of applications or domains, including cloud computing.

• Expertise in applying security controls, performing risk assessments, and documenting compliance measures in accordance with NIST RMF and ISO standards.

• Proficient in using Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) tools to manage Assessment & Authorization (A&A) processes.

• Skilled in ensuring proper handling of risk, compliance, and assurance from both internal and external viewpoints.

• Excellent organizational abilities with a knack for creating and maintaining schedules and detailed action plans.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills for engaging with cross-functional teams, business units, stakeholders, IT professionals, and presenting to executives.
