This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Design, implement, and manage the infrastructure for Database Activity Monitoring (DAM).
• Assist with the deployment, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management of Database Activity Monitoring software (e.g., agents).
• Provide incident support, including on-call assistance, for investigations and Database Activity Monitoring-related outages.
• Conduct software patching, upgrades, and vulnerability remediation for Database Activity Monitoring tools.
• Develop, test, and optimize policy rules to adhere to industry standards and internal monitoring criteria such as NIST, HIPAA, CCPA, etc.
• Carry out comprehensive product evaluations, offering recommendations and implementing products/services for new or replacement data security technologies.
• Create, maintain, and review operational procedures, solution topology diagrams, and reporting metrics.
• Conduct regular service reporting that includes completed actions, upcoming activities, and recommendations for stakeholders.
• Influence and contribute to the development of the data security program and roadmap planning.
• Offer support and guidance to other security resources, including business partners and suppliers.
• Train and educate staff to utilize software solutions in a safe and efficient manner.
• A minimum of two years of experience in database administration supporting relational database technologies such as Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, IBM DB2, etc.
• Familiarity with cloud-hosted database Platform as a Service (PaaS) or Database as a Service (DBaaS) from AWS and/or Azure.
• At least three years of experience administering, managing, and tuning IBM Guardium, Imperva, or equivalent solutions.
• Understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, firewalls, ACLs, and encryption.
• Experience with server operating systems such as Windows, Linux, etc.
• Knowledge of federal regulations pertaining to information security (FISMA, HIPAA, CPRA, etc.).
• Familiarity with NIST Special Publications or other industry frameworks.
• Possession of relevant vendor and industry security and technical certifications (CISSP, CCSP, etc.) is advantageous.
• Strong skills in documentation, communication, and workflow design.
• Experience with Microsoft Purview or other Data Protection products is a plus.
