This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +2 more states.
• Lead or assist in software implementation, integration, and verification efforts at customer locations.
• Facilitate connectivity among laboratory instruments, Laboratory Information Systems (LIS), and IT environments.
• Perform software installations, conduct testing, provide training, and offer go-live support.
• Resolve technical issues both remotely and on-site as required.
• Act as the primary technical resource for customers, field service personnel, and project teams.
• Deliver Level 1 and Level 2 technical support and troubleshoot issues effectively.
• Collaborate with project managers, laboratory personnel, IT departments, and customer stakeholders throughout the implementation process.
• Handle multiple projects while ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to timelines.
• Collect customer requirements and assist in designing scalable informatics and automation solutions.
• Work in conjunction with global support teams to address complex technical challenges.
• Contribute to sales and business development by providing exceptional customer service and technical knowledge.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Product teams to identify customer requirements and facilitate product improvements.
• Uphold compliance with the Abbott Code of Business Conduct.
• Promote continuous improvement and initiatives aimed at enhancing customer satisfaction.
• Assist healthcare organizations in enhancing laboratory operations through automation and informatics solutions.
• At least 0–2 years of formal IT technical application experience is required.
• Familiarity with laboratory workflows and operations is essential.
• Exceptional communication, organizational, project management, and attention to detail skills are necessary.
• Strong understanding of general networking concepts is required.
• Knowledge of server technologies and associated services is important.
• Familiarity with workstation and desktop technology is necessary.
• Understanding of internet protocols is required.
• Skills in remote connectivity are essential.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows Server (NT/2000/XP/2k3) is expected.
• Strong IT, networking, and software troubleshooting capabilities are necessary.
• Customer-facing skills and the ability to foster relationships with customers and cross-functional teams are crucial.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills are required.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment is essential.
• Capability to work independently while also collaborating with diverse teams is necessary.
• A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, medical technology, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience with ADD’s instrument systems is a significant advantage.
• A background as a medical technologist is ideal; other laboratory experience is also acceptable.
• Additional experience in hospital or laboratory information systems is preferred.
• Knowledge of virtual servers, corporate virus protection products, backup systems, firewalls, and VPN client and tunnel technologies is beneficial.
• Education or experience in medical technology or clinical laboratory science is preferred.
• Familiarity with ASCP or CLS (NCA) credentials is advantageous.
