Informatics Analyst II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborates as a proactive member of a project team that may include Business Analysts, Project Managers, Information Architects, Data Analysts, and/or Database Administrators to ensure the delivery of high-quality applications and components within defined scope, deadlines, and budget.

• Engages in the assessment of emerging technologies, creates proof-of-concepts, and advocates for the adoption of these new technologies.

• Conducts meetings with clients and stakeholders and participates in design discussions with them.

• Works directly with researchers to document, analyze, and convert their requirements into technical designs and informatics solutions.

• Collects user requirements and produces technical documentation.

• Implements biomedical informatics technical standards, methodologies, and principles to meet the specific needs, objectives, and outcomes of research programs.

• Aids in the formulation of business requirements for additional subject areas.

• Adheres to established operational procedures and HIPAA regulations.

• Formulates strategies for managing intricate data sets by upholding data standards and metadata.

• Generates complex reports from various systems and verifies their accuracy.

• Guides initiatives to ensure that informatics systems align with and enhance the research goals and mission of Emory University.

• Performs additional duties as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

• Proficiency in working with RDBMS such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or MySQL databases, along with a solid understanding of SQL in a major RDBMS.

• IT experience in a healthcare or university environment is preferred.

• Technical certification is preferred.
