This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee maintenance operations within an industrial oil and gas/LPG facility.
• Recruit and train maintenance personnel and technicians.
• Conduct inspections of facilities and operational systems to determine maintenance requirements.
• Develop annual inspection plans, turnarounds, preventive maintenance schedules, and repair operations.
• Create weekly maintenance timetables and distribute tasks accordingly.
• Supervise tradespeople during installation, repair, and maintenance activities.
• Assist in formulating the maintenance budget while ensuring adherence to it.
• Keep track of materials and equipment inventory.
• Coordinate projects such as turnarounds and equipment replacements.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, health and safety regulations, policies, procedures, and compliance documentation.
• Analyze technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and electrical and hydraulic schematics for troubleshooting, repairs, calibration, modifications, and installations.
• Interpret welding symbols, select filler metals, and implement fabrication methods.
• Maintain and service electronic devices and control systems.
• Design parts and create adaptations or modifications of components.
• Execute troubleshooting for oil and gas terminal issues, repair rotating equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and respond to unplanned events.
• Work with hydraulic, pneumatic, pneumatic controls, boilers, instrumentation, electrical, mechanical, and cooling systems.
• Inspect equipment and maintain communication with peers and management.
• Utilize electrical testing instruments and mechanical tools.
• Address process-related deviations and issues to ensure equipment reliability.
• Carry out minor repairs, enhancements, and preventive maintenance on process equipment.
• Be available during facility turnarounds, shutdowns, unexpected maintenance situations, and rotating shifts.
• Perform additional assigned tasks and adhere to attendance requirements.
• High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
• A two- or four-year degree from an accredited institution, or relevant experience/specific knowledge is required.
• Alternatively, an honorable discharge from the U.S. military in a technical discipline or related degree.
• Alternatively, three years of experience in terminal oil and gas operations maintenance.
• Alternatively, five years of general industry experience as an electrician, pipefitter, instrumentation technician, steamfitter, millwright, or industrial mechanic, along with relevant trade certifications.
• A valid motor vehicle operator's license and a satisfactory driving record are necessary.
• Completion of necessary customer and location safety training/certification is required.
• Must fulfill foreign trade zone entry criteria, including U.S. Coast Guard and Department of Homeland Security background checks and obtain/maintain a TWIC.
• Successful completion of a drug screening and background check prior to employment is required.
• Demonstrated experience as a maintenance supervisor or in a similar capacity is essential.
• Strong technical understanding of mechanical and electrical systems is needed.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations and practices is important.
• Understanding of budgeting and performance management is required.
• Planning and leadership skills are necessary.
• Proficiency in computer and software applications is a must.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• A minimum of five years of industrial maintenance experience is preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience is advantageous.
• Experience with preventive/planned maintenance processes, procedures, and scheduling is preferred.
• Experience in maintaining boilers, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and cooling equipment is desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical schematics is necessary.
• Flexible availability from Monday to Friday, including potential overtime, weekends, and holidays is required.
• Must be able to read, speak, and comprehend English in both verbal and written form.
• Expertise in systems troubleshooting and a strong mechanical aptitude are essential.
• Skill in documentation and data analysis is important.
• Familiarity with LPG gas and the design and installation of equipment, including piping systems and facility support equipment, is preferred.
• Preferred experience in chemical, refining, terminal, gas processing, refinery, or energy facility maintenance.
• Preferred proficiency in instrumentation calibration and in electrical, optical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
• A demonstrated commitment to environmental stewardship and regulatory compliance is essential.
• Ability to work independently with tact, discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality is required.
• Must be able to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions, at heights above five feet, in confined spaces, and in elevated work areas.
• Capability to stand, walk, climb, and work for extended periods is necessary.
• Ability to lift or move up to 55 pounds is required.
• Willingness to work 12+ hour rotating shifts when necessary is essential.
• Ability to enter and climb above-grade storage tanks and ladders up to approximately 50 feet is required.
• Must work safely around industrial and electrical equipment and in temperature extremes.
• Salary starting at $70,000+
