Indirect Procurement Buyer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create sourcing strategies aimed at achieving cost savings and cash flow objectives.

• Examine spend data to uncover opportunities for cost reduction and cash flow enhancement.

• Identify and cultivate preferred supplier networks while working towards supplier consolidation.

• Negotiate contracts and procure indirect materials and services.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders effectively.

• Leverage e-procurement technologies, including RFPs, Salesforce.com, and reverse auctions.

• Ensure adherence to Environmental, Health & Safety, and Responsible Care programs.

• Monitor outcomes and share progress during online meetings.

• Provide support for MRO and laboratory sourcing categories.

• Assist with corporate sourcing initiatives, enhancements to SAP data, and process improvements.

• Train and assist corporate teams on sourcing programs and procedures.

• Lead procurement projects across North America.

• Coordinate with global teams as necessary.

• Manage SAP Workflow items such as vendor requests, material requests, and purchase order approvals.

• Prepare KPI analyses and presentations for stakeholders.

• Aid in the integration of corporate acquisitions related to sourcing initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in sourcing, supply chain, process excellence, and project/program management.

• Proficiency with ERPs, supply chain collaboration, and e-procurement tools such as SAP, Salesforce.com, and Tableau.

• Strong skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Ability to work efficiently in a geographically dispersed organization.

• A hands-on approach with a problem-solving mindset.

• Capability to operate within a matrix environment.

• Strong organizational and project management abilities.

• Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.

• Proven success in delivering results and influencing as well as collaborating across regional and cross-functional teams.

• Willingness to travel up to 15% as required.
