This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +6 more states.
• Responsible for processing and funding tasks related to indirect consumer lending products.
• Reviews documentation to ensure it aligns with loan applications; verifies the accuracy of member information, performs a thorough income verification review, inputs data into the Loan Origination System, and funds in accordance with the loan officer’s directives/stipulations.
• Collaborates directly with Indirect Auto dealers to relay loan stipulations and funding details.
• Receives incoming calls from vendors, dealerships, and both external and internal members. Addresses inquiries and provides information regarding loan processing and funding.
• For indirect loans, reviews the completed Indirect Funding Form and Checklist to ensure compliance with credit union standards. Dispatches the completed package to the Records/File Room post-funding.
• Conducts telephone interviews/verification for indirect applicants and collateral, as well as verifying physical damage insurance coverage for the financed vehicle.
• Follows all auditing procedures established to document the lending process and maintain proper checks and balances.
• Engages in and supports continuous improvement initiatives.
• Represents the Credit Union positively and professionally.
• Ensures confidentiality of member and other sensitive information.
• Treats coworkers and members with respect.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• At least 1 year of combined experience in consumer loan processing and/or funding, including a minimum of 6 months of indirect experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of all consumer lending products, relevant documentation, policies and procedures, services, and delivery methods.
• Familiarity with NCUA lending regulations and consumer lending guidelines.
• Must possess strong communication skills to interact effectively with members, management, team members, and external third parties.
• Ability to engage with individuals in a positive manner, demonstrating empathy, courtesy, and tact.
• Strong interpersonal and consulting abilities.
• Team-oriented with the capability to work collaboratively.
• Proficient in analyzing and resolving problems related to member service needs.
• Capable of multitasking and prioritizing tasks effectively.
• Proficient in using a calculator accurately.
• Competent in operating a PC and using Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Working knowledge of Loans PQ and DNA is preferred.
