This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +6 more states.
• Under the guidance of the AVP Indirect Lending, executes all responsibilities related to the processing of Indirect Consumer loans.
• Oversees Dealer track, RouteOne, and CUDL for Indirect applications.
• Evaluates loan packages and identifies the necessary steps to ensure processing and funding are completed accurately and promptly.
• Contributes to the organization by facilitating processes that enhance the Credit Union’s asset portfolio.
• Collaborates directly with Auto Dealers and members.
• Handles tasks associated with the processing and funding of indirect consumer lending products.
• Reviews documentation to verify alignment with the loan application; confirms the accuracy of member information, conducts thorough income verification, inputs data into the Loan Origination System, and funds according to the loan officer’s guidelines.
• Communicates directly with Indirect Auto dealers regarding loan stipulations and funding.
• Receives incoming calls from vendors, dealerships, and both internal and external members.
• Responds to inquiries and provides information pertaining to loan processing and funding.
• For indirect loans, checks the completed Indirect Funding Form and Checklist to ensure adherence to credit union standards.
• Sends the finished package to Records/File Room after the funding process is finalized.
• Conducts telephone interviews/verification of indirect applicants and collateral, alongside verifying physical damage insurance coverage for the financed vehicle.
• Complies with all auditing procedures intended to document the lending process and maintain proper checks and balances.
• Engages in and supports continuous improvement initiatives.
• Represents the Credit Union in a professional and positive manner.
• Safeguards member and other sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Treats co-workers and members with dignity and respect.
• Minimum of 1 year combined experience in consumer loan processing and/or funding, including at least 6 months in indirect experience.
• Proficient understanding of all consumer lending products, documentation, policies and procedures, services, and delivery methods.
• Familiarity with NCUA lending regulations and consumer lending guidelines.
• Must possess effective communication skills to interact with members, management, team members, and external parties.
• Ability to engage with individuals in a positive manner, demonstrating empathy, courtesy, and tact.
• Strong interpersonal and consulting abilities.
• Team-oriented with a collaborative work style.
• Capable of analyzing and resolving issues related to member service requirements.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize various activities effectively.
• Proficient in using a calculator with precision.
• Competence in operating a PC and utilizing Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
