Independent Property Field Adjuster

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Efficiently and promptly manage all assigned claims with minimal supervision.

• Make claim decisions within the authority granted, adhering to company and carrier guidelines.

• Accurately interpret policy coverages and implement appropriate claims procedures.

• Establish and communicate reserves in accordance with carrier expectations.

• Keep informed on the latest insurance policies, guidelines, and industry practices.

• Understand local construction methods, pricing, and repair standards.

• Submit additional reports as required (e.g., severe incident reports, ITV reports).

• Deliver outstanding customer service to all insureds, clients, and stakeholders.

• Uphold high standards of professional conduct throughout all assignments.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree is preferred.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in handling property claims.

• At least 2 years of experience with Xactimate and Symbility estimating software.

• Strong understanding of insurance policies, practices, and procedures.

• General knowledge of construction is highly preferred.
