This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Conduct thorough investigations and assessments of daily property claims on behalf of clients.
• Provide prompt, accurate, fair, and professional service.
• Independently manage a significant volume of claims.
• Effectively handle all assigned claims with minimal supervision.
• Make claim decisions within the authority granted by company and carrier policies.
• Correctly interpret policy coverages and apply the appropriate claims practices.
• Set and communicate reserves in accordance with carrier expectations.
• Keep current with insurance policies, guidelines, and industry standards.
• Have a solid understanding of local construction techniques, pricing, and repair standards.
• Submit additional reports as necessary.
• Deliver outstanding customer service to all insured parties, clients, and stakeholders.
• Uphold high standards of professional conduct in all assignments.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in managing property claims.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience with Xactimate and Symbility estimating software.
• Strong knowledge of insurance policies, practices, and procedures is essential.
• General construction knowledge is highly preferred.
• Role as an independent contractor.
• No employer-employee relationship.
• Autonomy over the manner, timing, and method of work.
