Independent Freight Broker/Agent – Team

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Serve as the main point of contact for clients, overseeing and managing all facets of freight transportation.

• Cultivate and sustain relationships with clients and carriers to enhance the smooth movement of freight.

• Employ our advanced Transportation Management System (TMS), McLeod PowerBroker, to optimize operations and guarantee precise tracking and reporting of shipments.

• Negotiate favorable rates with carriers while ensuring timely and economical freight transportation.

• Work alongside our skilled team to identify and explore new business opportunities.

• Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and market conditions to deliver knowledgeable and effective service to clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Maintain a portable book of business with actively shipping customers, achieving a monthly gross profit minimum of $35,000, along with established client and carrier relationships.

• Demonstrated experience of 2 or more years as an Independent Freight Agent or Broker.

• Strong skills in negotiation and communication.

• Proficient in using transportation management systems and technology.

• Ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
