Independent Contractor – Facilitator, Assessor, Critical Reviewer, Developer – Data Science

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Facilitate engaging and student-centered online learning experiences.

• Guide students through intricate concepts in data science.

• Support student learning via discussions and academic assistance.

• Evaluate student submissions according to academic standards.

• Provide clear, constructive, and developmental feedback.

• Ensure consistency and fairness in grading practices.

• Conduct critical reviews of qualifications and educational materials.

• Contribute to the design or revision of learning resources, assessments, and module content.

⛳️ Requirements

• A relevant Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (NQF 8).

• Experience in teaching, tutoring, or facilitating in higher education or professional learning settings.

• Proven knowledge of data analytics concepts and tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, R, or similar).

• Strong analytical, communication, and feedback skills.

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

• Familiarity with online learning platforms and digital engagement tools.

• A passion for fostering student learning, development, and maintaining academic quality.
