This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.
• The ICT Engineer II will have the chance to collaborate with senior design personnel to enhance their ICT design expertise for commercial building projects and construction.
• Gain practical experience in designing a diverse range of low voltage initiatives.
• Collaborate as a member of the Engineering Team, working closely with the Project Management Team to create construction documents, aid in project specifications, and support the construction administration process.
• Contribute to the production of Low Voltage System (ICT, Security, A/V) Engineering Deliverables (75%).
• Assist in generating BIM / CAD deliverables, including Revit models and AutoCAD drawings, to fulfill project design requirements.
• Undertake intermediate design tasks under the guidance of a senior engineer.
• Provide project delivery support to the project team, including managing electronic documents and BIM models as necessary to ensure successful project submissions and completion of deliverables.
• Collaborate effectively with other technical trade leads (MEP, BAS, EPMS, ICT) to ensure coordination across multiple disciplines.
• Successfully complete assigned BIM / CAD production tasks within budget and deadlines established by the project team.
• Participate in Pre-Construction Activities (10%), which includes surveying existing building conditions and compiling technical reports of findings.
• Gather data and information for construction documents, and support Construction Activities (15%) such as reviewing shop drawings and submittals, addressing RFIs, and preparing project progress reports.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or one additional year of experience producing construction documents using Revit and/or AutoCAD with an emphasis on low voltage design.
• At least three years of experience in producing construction documents utilizing Revit and/or AutoCAD with a focus on low voltage design.
• Understanding of networking (copper and fiber optic) systems, cabling, and components.
• Familiarity with Audio Visual (AV), Access Control, and CCTV systems and components.
• Proficient in using AutoCAD and Revit Computer Aided Design tools.
• Competent in using the MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams), along with excellent organizational skills for file management.
• Capable of leveraging AI and emerging technologies to enhance workflows, optimize operational processes, and contribute to innovation across the company.
• Ability to adhere to company and site safety protocols.
• Proficient in analyzing and preparing documents, reports, and correspondence.
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written, for conveying technical and non-technical information.
• Skilled in direct client communication and occasionally acting as the primary point of contact for clients.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently with moderate supervision.
• Capacity to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills, enabling the management of multiple tasks concurrently.
• Ability to thrive in a remote work environment through effective communication, organization, self-motivation, proactiveness, and resourcefulness in a distraction-free workspace.
• Competent in collaborating within interdepartmental teams.
