This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with innovative professionals at 3M from across the globe.

• Take ownership of comprehensive solution design by leveraging extensive Workday knowledge to manage intricate payroll, accrual, and time valuation configurations.

• Foster innovation throughout essential HR and payroll processes, guiding cross-functional projects while translating business requirements into clear, user-centric system designs.

• Act as the senior expert in Workday for Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking modules, spearheading the advanced design and configuration of pay calculation rules, accrual logic, eligibility criteria, earnings/deductions setup, and time valuation processes.

• Supervise and mentor HR Technology Analysts in their configuration, testing, and deployment tasks.

• Review and endorse configurations, test scripts, test outcomes, and documentation to guarantee precision and readiness for audits.

• Lead complex troubleshooting efforts related to gross-to-net calculations, retroactive calculations, accruals, time valuation, and integration inconsistencies.

• Assess Workday's semiannual releases to pinpoint features that enhance payroll accuracy, compliance, and processing efficiency.

• Collaborate with Payroll, HR Operations, Total Rewards, IT, Legal, and Compliance teams to gather requirements, influence design choices, and resolve intricate issues.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher (must be completed and verified before employment begins).

• A minimum of 5 years of HR Technology experience in private, public, government, or military sectors.

• At least 5 years of Workday configuration experience with a focus on Payroll within private, public, government, or military environments.

• Workday Pro certification is preferred.

• Strong expertise with US Workday Payroll (PATT) is essential.

• Demonstrated success in designing complex pay calculation rules, accrual configurations, time valuation, eligibility, and payroll workflows.

• Knowledge of union regulations, shift differentials, premium pay, and intricate pay components.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, especially regarding pay outcomes and time valuation.

• Experience in leading or mentoring analysts or technical team members is advantageous.

• Excellent project management abilities; capable of influencing at all organizational levels.

• Outstanding communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience with the Workday Scheduling module is preferred.
