This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Leadership & Development: Mentor, coach, and guide direct reports to cultivate a high-performing Time & Attendance (T&A) team.

• Team Culture: Promote a positive team culture across global borders in a remote, asynchronous setting that inspires excellence and innovation.

• Performance Oversight: Manage performance evaluations bi-annually and ensure alignment of individual and team objectives with organizational goals in our high-performance culture.

• Team Advancement: Lead recruitment, training, mentoring, and oversight of the regional team to facilitate their professional development.

• Complex Case Management (ER Scope): Act as a subject matter expert and the ultimate escalation point for all high-risk T&A issues, including intricate wage-hour disputes, policy interpretations, and potential disciplinary actions regarding timekeeping compliance.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate across various domains—such as Operations, Product, Engineering, Legal, and Employee Relations (ER)—to enhance T&A processes, workflows, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• Process Improvement: Enhance and optimize the Lifecycle T&A team's processes and existing workflows, identifying automation opportunities to boost quality, efficiency, and scalability.

• Service Excellence: Ensure the effective and compliant delivery of Time & Attendance services while achieving KPIs and SLAs.

• Risk Management: Securely handle and protect employee data and confidential information, providing guidance on best practices for managing sensitive T&A records and investigations discreetly.

• Strategic Problem Solving: Address escalated T&A issues through thorough analysis, including advising on or conducting internal investigations into serious attendance or timekeeping discrepancies, and implementing enhancements that promote compliance and business growth.

• AI Integration: Advocate for the responsible use of AI-assisted tools within the T&A team—identifying opportunities, running pilot programs, establishing guidelines, and scaling successful initiatives. Ensure team members are trained and confident in utilizing AI tools within Remote's data handling and compliance frameworks.


⛳️ Requirements

• People Management & Coaching: You possess hands-on experience in people management with a strong coaching philosophy, particularly in leading distributed international teams.

• Global HR Operations: You have demonstrable experience in HR Operations across several countries.

• T&A & Compliance Knowledge: You have profound expertise in Time & Attendance issues, relevant wage/hour laws, complex policy exceptions, and disciplinary processes across various jurisdictions.

• Jurisdictional Expertise: You have extensive knowledge of complex T&A case resolution, wage/hour compliance, and managing policy discrepancies under labor laws in APAC regions.

• Fast-Paced Environment: Experience in a dynamic, international scale-up environment is essential.

• Service Orientation: Driven by achieving objectives, you thrive in a service-level environment (SLAs/KPIs) that prioritizes continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.

• Technical Proficiency: You are technologically adept and have experience with a range of digital tools, focusing on process optimization and automation.

• Language Proficiency: You are fluent in both written and spoken English.

• Data Management: You can securely manage and uphold employee data and confidential information, following established protocols while ensuring the highest level of professionalism and discretion in critical T&A cases.

• Preferred Qualifications (A Plus): Experience in startups, remote working, and proficiency in additional languages beyond English.
