
HR Consultant – Organizational Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Create and implement organizational development initiatives that encompass workforce planning, succession planning, culture enhancement, employee experience, and performance management.
• Perform research, analysis, needs assessments, and reporting; develop programs that bolster individual and team skills.
• Collaborate with People Relationship Managers, stakeholders, leaders, and senior executives to enhance organizational efficiency.
• Design, implement, manage, test, and assess HR-aligned programs grounded in diversity, equity, and inclusion principles.
• Assist in organizational design efforts, change management, team effectiveness, and initiatives aimed at improving organizational effectiveness.
• Facilitate discussions on team management and administer assessments such as EQi, 360, Birkman, DiSC, and Minden Assessment.
• Develop individual and leadership growth plans; offer management coaching and support for performance improvement.
• Design and oversee leadership coaching, mentoring, employee experience, and engagement initiatives.
• Support the culture strategy, culture committees, measurement of culture, and ongoing cultural advancement.
• Research, design, implement, and evaluate performance management systems and year-end reporting processes.
• Establish frameworks for workforce planning, analyze workforce trends, and create succession and talent management strategies.
• Formulate risk mitigation strategies, development plans, job movement protocols, role changes, and retention strategies.
• Identify and nurture high-potential leaders and assist leadership development committees.
• Contribute to fostering a high-performing workforce and a culture of leadership accountability.
• Manage risks and ensure the application of health, safety, and emergency management policies.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited post-secondary institution in a relevant discipline such as Business.
• Certification in organizational development.
• A minimum of five years of relevant experience in organizational development.
• Understanding of the foundational principles of organizational development and workforce planning theory and practice.
• Familiarity with HR functions and their interrelations.
• Knowledge of SGI’s vision, values, strategic priorities, and corporate direction.
• Proficiency in consulting and conducting needs assessments.
• Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Clear and effective oral and written communication tailored to the audience.
• Ability to identify challenges and issues, generate solutions, and assess their effectiveness.
• Strong consulting and facilitation capabilities.
• Project management expertise.
• Data analysis proficiency utilizing Artificial Intelligence tools.
• CPHR designation is considered a valuable asset.
