This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including handling vendor invoices and collections.
• Assist in payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timely execution.
• Support the onboarding and offboarding of employees, as well as benefits administration.
• Maintain human resources records and help ensure compliance with employment laws.
• Aid in month-end close activities, including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Assist with compliance filings and reporting at both state and federal levels.
• Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of accounting and HR software systems.
• Provide administrative assistance to the VP of Finance on various ad hoc projects.
• 2–5 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, HR administration, or a related operational role.
• Practical experience with Rippling for HR, payroll, and benefits management.
• Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar tools.
• Strong expertise in Excel and/or Google Sheets.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
• Capability to manage sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated individual, comfortable thriving in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
• Preferred: Interest or experience in venture capital or financial services.
