HPC/AI Data Center Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assess client requirements and propose optimal solutions to address their challenges.

• Implement multi-vendor hardware and software solutions for both existing and new clients.

• Exhibit proficiency in areas such as storage, networking, data protection, digital archiving, and other infrastructure technologies.

• Create, validate, and/or confirm rack elevations along with cable layouts and lengths.

• Conduct onsite installation of servers, storage, networks, and related equipment (“rack & stack”) at remote client locations.

• Manage cabling and labeling for all types of network cabling within the data center environment.

• Undertake general server and network administration tasks to configure basic OS and ILO access.

• Record all stages of the installation process comprehensively from start to finish.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a data center environment.

• At least 5 years of experience in installing network and server hardware.

• 5+ years of experience with structured and data center cabling.

• Knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 network concepts is essential.

• Strong troubleshooting skills for cable and network issues.

• Basic understanding of Linux operating systems.

• Ability to lift weights ranging from 50 to 70 pounds.

• Demonstrate expert-level knowledge of advanced computer hardware, software, and services.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills are required.

• Capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Authorization to work full-time in the United States is a must, and a university undergraduate degree is preferred.
